OPPO's Find X10 Series: A Bold Challenge to Flagship Photography Giants
With its "true-to-life" imaging, triple 200MP cameras, and advanced AI, the OPPO Find X10 Series is directly confronting the photography dominance of Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy, aiming to redefine realism in smartphone photography.

Are we ready for a new definition of flagship smartphone photography? For years, the industry has pushed toward increasingly vibrant, computationally enhanced images, often at the expense of realism. Now, OPPO is stepping into the ring, directly challenging the giants with its Find X10 Series, set for a global debut on October 21, 2026, in Mallorca, Spain. This isn't just another camera upgrade; it's a declared war on over-processed photos, backed by impressive hardware and ambitious AI.
The Find X10 Series, comprising the Find X10 and the top-tier Find X10 Pro Max, arrives with a clear mission: to bring "true-to-life detail, color and tones" back to mobile photography. As Tech Advisor reports, OPPO is taking exception to the oversaturated colors, over-brightened faces, aggressive HDR, and excessive sharpening that characterize many rival phones, including, by implication, devices like the Pixel 11 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This approach aims to capture "what we actually saw and how a moment felt," rather than what computational photography thinks it should look like.
The Camera Revolution: Chasing Reality, Not Enhancement
The hardware underpinning this ambitious vision is formidable. The Find X10 Pro Max leads the charge with what OPPO claims is the industry's first Triple 200MP Camera System, equipping its ultra-wide, main, and telephoto cameras with 200MP sensors. The standard Find X10 offers a still impressive Dual 200MP camera system, co-developed with Hasselblad, which OPPO also describes as a category first. Both models incorporate the LUMO True Image Engine, combining OPPO’s imaging technology with Hasselblad Master Mode’s natural tone rendering and a True Color Camera for accurate color information. This processing system is designed to produce images with authentic detail and natural tones.
Beyond still photography, the series expands video capabilities significantly. The Find X10 Pro Max supports 4K recording at 120fps and 8K recording at 30fps across all three rear cameras, with the standard Find X10 offering the same resolutions and frame rates through its dual 200MP cameras. The inclusion of Open Gate Capture further empowers content creators by allowing them to crop and reframe footage for various formats in post-production. Features like the LUMO Hyper Pixel Engine enable 26MP images across focal lengths, while Hasselblad Hi-Res Mode allows for 50MP shots in optimal lighting, specifically aiming to reduce heavy sharpening often seen in mobile photos.
Agentic AI: Beyond Answering Questions
The Find X10 Series isn't just about cameras; it also introduces a significant leap in artificial intelligence. Through a collaboration with AI agent platform Manus, OPPO is integrating agentic AI capabilities into AI Mind Pilot with a new Agent Mode. This feature, debuting with ColorOS 17, is designed to understand complex user goals, break them down into individual steps, identify relevant information, and select appropriate tools to complete multi-step tasks. As Kai Tang, President of Software Engineering at OPPO, states, "Agentic AI marks an important shift from answering questions to helping users get things done."
Imagine asking AI Mind Pilot to organize a trip: the assistant can locate flight tickets, hotel bookings, restaurant reservations, and attraction tickets across different applications, then combine that data with online information to generate a personalized itinerary. It can also support creative and professional work, from organizing photographs to preparing presentations, all initiated through a single prompt. OPPO emphasizes a vision of Personalized Proactive Intelligence, where AI proactively assists with daily activities. Importantly, ColorOS 17 incorporates robust privacy controls, using on-device models for local processing whenever possible. When external processing is required, AI Mind Pilot requests explicit user permission, giving users control over shared information and actions.
Powering the Premium Experience
Under the hood, both new flagships leverage MediaTek’s latest processors. The Find X10 is powered by the Dimensity 9600M, while the Find X10 Pro Max features the 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro, which OPPO states delivers significant improvements in performance and power efficiency. Both models will feature an OPPO Silicon-Carbon Battery with a capacity of up to 8,000mAh in applicable markets, which OPPO claims provides up to two days of typical use on a single charge and is designed to retain over 80% of its original capacity after five years of typical use. The Pro Max model further supports rapid 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the design front, the series introduces OPPO’s new Borderless Design, featuring One-Piece Sculpted Glass that extends into the camera module. The Find X10 Pro Max in Luna White showcases a LUMO Camera Island with a matte silver metallic finish, knurled detailing, and Hasselblad’s signature matte orange accent ring. The devices also promise durability, featuring precision-machined aluminum frames and resilient OPPO Crystal Shield Glass, with IP66, IP68, and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings.
With its global launch set for October 21, followed by an India launch on October 22, the OPPO Find X10 Series is positioning itself as a serious contender in the premium smartphone market. By emphasizing true-to-life imaging and advanced agentic AI, OPPO is making a clear statement: mobile photography should be about preserving reality, not enhancing it, and AI should proactively assist, not just respond. The success of this bold strategy will depend on whether users truly embrace a more natural photographic output and how seamlessly the new AI capabilities integrate into daily life.
